The Waiting Game

I have got to give great credit to my mom for suggesting we write a blog about our journey over the next few years with Joshua's job. (She also came up with the name "Home Sweet Roam" which I think is sooo clever!) Right now we are waiting for Joshua's departure date (a week from Sunday) and we are waiting to find out where we will be living first!

If anyone has not heard, Joshua recently got a job that will have us moving every 3-6 months to live near his company's clients. We were very unsure if Joshua was going to take the job, but decided to pray about unceasingly and decided that if he should make it through the three interviews that we would take it. A first interview led to a second, the second led to a third and the third led to a job offer within an hour. And off we go!

We are so thankful that God has provided this opportunity for us, but as you can imagine we are nervous about several things!

Things we are excited about:

  • Having an income!
  • Getting to travel to places we may have never thought about traveling to.
  • Having the opportunity to visit a lot of new churches and see what they are like in various parts of the country.
  • The opportunity to make a lot of fun and interesting memories.
Things we are apprehensive about:

  • Figuring out the logistics of moving a young family several times a year.
  • Not knowing where we are off to next!
  • Spending 6 weeks apart as Joshua is at training.
  • Finding new places to live every time we move.
  • Leaving my family in WA.
Overall, it is a very exciting time and we cannot wait to see what God holds for our future!
